This week, we have a 13-fight card in Boise, Idaho. It’s headlined by Junior Dos Santos vs Blagoy Ivanov, who will be making his UFC debut. DraftKings has smaller contests for this card because it’s just a Fight Night card with lesser known title, but there’s still well over $100k to be obtained. I’ll be pursuing my fair share of that money and that I hope you guys will be . Listed below are a few plays I like this weekend and my fade of the week.
Cash Game play of this week — Alexander Volkanovski ($9,200)
I believe Volkanovski is the”safest” drama on this card and also his -300 gaming lineup would agree with me. That’s where I will be starting my lineup this week and I’ll figure out the rest from there. Volkanovski averages 116.5 DK points through his first four UFC fights so he’s got a whole lot of upside too. He could possible score over two winners with this particular card combined. I really do think he’s in drama for GPPs as well for this reason, but he will probably be the most peculiar owned fighter on the card and we do not care about ownership as much in cash games. I’d suggest paying up for the costly cost in your cash games and then search for three or more others wins you are confident in.
GPP play of the week — Junior Dos Santos ($8,700)
JDS should be the way better striker inside this fight and I think that is where the battle will occur. He can get KO’d at the opening seconds of the battle and score 0 points, but this is what makes him a GPP drama in lieu of a cash match play. With both of these Heavyweights, we need to likely find a KO inside the 25-minues and that I think the former champion, JDS, will be the one to get it. He has good takedown defense so he should be able to maintain this fight on the feet where he will have a 4-inch achieve advantage to use.
Underdog play of this week — Niko Price ($7,900)
Niko is going to function as underdog play of this week. The chances demonstrate that the fight should be rather close and there’s a good possibility he uses his wrestling to obtain the advantage. In 5 fights he has not seen a decision yet, and there’s a possibility it remains that way if he gets Brown to the ground. Niko includes some slick submissions in his arsenal and a lot of heart. On the feet, Brown likely has the advantage with his reach, but Cost does have some sneaky power too, which can not be overlooked. Overall, I like this as a GPP play.
Fade of the week — Alejandro Perez ($9,100)
Perez is the 2nd most expensive fighter on this card and he is only $100 cheaper than Volkanovski. In my view, Perez will require a end to really have a shot at paying that pricey salary and that I don’t want to invest in that, personally. He has never landed more than 1 takedown at a fight and Wineland has excellent takedown defense, so we must see this battle occur on the feet. I believe Perez needs to be the one to receive his hands raised in the conclusion but I think that it will be through conclusion. If that is the case then he can score ~60 points in a win, and also at $9.1k that isn’t likely to win anyone a tournament. I will be complete fading Perez this week and hoping he doesn’t get the finish and he’s my official fade of this week.
